How to Make Cheesy Mashed Potatoes

Preheat the oven at a temperature of 350 degree F. Grease a 2 quart baking dish.

Take a deep pan and place some russet potatoes in it, cover it with water than cover the pot and bring it to boil. Cook these potatoes for 20-25 minutes until potatoes are soft and tender. Combine the potatoes with cream cheese, sour cream, half cup shredded cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix the mixture wel until it becomes a smooth mixture. Spoon potatoes into greased baking tray. Top the mixture with remaining cheese.

Cover the baking dish and bake it for 30-35 minutes. Switch the baking mode to BROIL mode for 4-5 minutes. Keep an eye on the baking potatoes so that cheese may not burn. Allow it to cool slightly before serving them.

  • 6 cups prepared mashed potatoes OR 6 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (Place the cheese out of freezer half an hour before use)
