How to Cook Veggies Chow Mein

Prepare the Chow Mein sauce first. For preparing the sauce take a large bowl or large measuring cup. Add in it sodium chicken broth, oyster sauce, oil, soy sauce, sugar, red pepper flakes and corn starch. Mix the ingredients well until the corn starch is dissolved fully. Set the sauce mixture aside.

Take a large skillet and place it over the stove top on medium high range heat. Drizzle oil in the skillet and heat. Add chicken in the oil and saute it for 3-4 minutes until it changes it colors from white to golden brown and cooked through. Transfer the chicken from skillet to plate with the help of slotted spoon. Cover the plate to eep the chickn warm.

In the same skillet saute the cabbage, carrots and garlic for 2-3 minutes until all the veggies are cooked fully and tender from inside. Shift the chicken from plate to the skillet. Add sauce and noodles in it. Give the mixture a good stir to coat the noodles and chicken well in sauce.

  • Oyster sauce is easily available in all the grocery stores. It is available in Asian section of grocery stores. If you do not find this oyster sauce you can use soy sauce in replacement.

Chow Mein Sauce
