Instant Pot Beef Chow Mein Casserole is a midwestern dish along with ground beef, rice, creamy soup and the celery that is top with chow Mein noodles. In old times this recipe is made in ovens but now-a-days you can make it in half time by using instant pot.

How To Cook Instant Pot Beef Chow Mein Casserole

You can make this recipe on instant pot or in pan place on stove top. In pan or in instant pot at sauté setting cook the beef until it changes its color to brown. Sauté the onions in it too. Add this mixture into a pot that can be easily fits into instant pot use for pot in pot cooking. Clean the bottom of the instant pot if you use it for browning the beef. Stir the cream chicken, cream of mushroom, celery, water chestnuts, rice, water and soy sauce along with beef in instant pot.

Pour 1 cup of water at the bottom of instant pot. place the pan fill with ingredients on the top of trivet and lower it into the bottom of instant pot. Cover the instant pot ad secure the lid. make sure that the valve is set to the position of sealing. Set the position of pressure cooker to 25 minutes. When the time is over let the pressure cooker settle naturally for 5-10 minutes. Move the valve to the position of venting. Now remove the lid.

Lift out the pan and stir. Sprinkle the chow Mein noodles on the top. Scoop it onto the plate and serve it with topping of green onions.

  • 3 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup onion (Dice it properly)
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 1 can 10.5 ounces Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1-1/4 cup parboiled rice or long grain white rice
  • 1 or 10.5 ounces can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • Diced green onions, for topping
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1-1/2 cups chow Mein noodles
